As one of the country’s most comprehensive design colleges, the College of Design at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities offers a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in product design as well as an undergraduate and graduate minor in product design.

Bachelor of Science in Product Design

The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in product design is a four year interdisciplinary degree with a foundation based in principles of industrial design.

Undergraduate Minor

The minor in product design requires 16 credits and is ideal for undergraduates who want to supplement their major with tools for innovation.

Graduate Minor

A graduate minor may be earned in product design when it logically relates to the graduate major field. Master’s students are required to take 11 credits and PhD students are required to take 12 credits.
